Most of the victims are found among the bus passengers.

All on the bus were Afghans who had recently been deported from Iran, reports BBC Pashto with reference to an official from the country's Taliban regime. The bus was on its way to the capital Kabul when it collided with a truck and a motorcycle and caught fire on Tuesday evening.

Everyone on board was killed, at least 17 of them children, according to BBC.

Iran and also Pakistan have in recent months stepped up deportations of undocumented Afghan migrants who have fled their home country. At least 1.5 million Afghans have been forced back to the Taliban's Afghanistan, which has been criticized by, among others, the UN.
