The lawsuit concerned a 2023 report, "The Fall of the Giant," which showed the actor making sexual comments about women during a trip to North Korea in 2018.
France Télévisions welcomes Depardieu's decision, which ends a two-year legal process.
France Télévisions also says that two expert analyses have concluded that Depardieu's comments are authentic and that the images in the report have not been manipulated.
Last year, 77-year-old Gérard Depardieu was sentenced to 18 months in prison for sexual assault.
