"It's about such concrete plans and preparations that we consider it necessary to send out the message that this is a threat that must be taken seriously," says Emil Græsholm, head of PET's counterintelligence, to the newspaper Berlingske.
Above all, the warning applies to companies that in various ways have connections to Denmark's military support for Ukraine.
PET also says that Russian security services are trying to recruit what are described as "ordinary Danes" to carry out missions for Russia. For example, this could involve investigating and reporting on security at factories in the country.
