Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S) refers at a press conference to the deadly violence against a Swedish police officer in connection with a World Cup event in Copenhagen in June.

The prosecution has announced that a prison sentence of between eight and ten months will be sought for the 31-year-old man who is being held in custody for the crime.

The Swedish man worked as a police officer in Sweden, but was not on duty when the assault occurred on June 30.

"It was shocking for many of us to see what kind of punishment he risks. It just makes it worse," says Frederiksen.
