A meeting between Denmark and the United States on Greenland was "constructive," Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said.

Prime Minister Frederiksen and Greenlandic Prime Minister Jens-Fredrik Nielsen held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during the ongoing security conference in Munich, Germany.

In a short statement on social media, Frederiksen wrote: "Work will continue in accordance with the agreement in the high-level working group."

Greenlandic Nielsen, who leads the Greenlandic government Naalakkersuisut, wrote in turn: "It was emphasized that talks are the right way forward and that Greenland's interests were once again clearly emphasized."
