It was a tropical night in large parts of Denmark with unusually high temperatures, reports Danmarks Radio. This means temperatures did not fall below 20 degrees overnight.

On Fanø in southwestern Jutland, the temperature reached 22.5 degrees during the night, making it the warmest June night recorded in Denmark since records began in 1874.
