The recent events with drones that have been seen at defense facilities and airports are causing Denmark to call in soldiers from reserve forces, reports Danish TV2.

The call is made with direct reference to the drone flights in Danish airspace, reports the Danish public service company. The soldiers are to come from the country's reserve corps, with the urging to report as soon as possible.

It is a matter of a few hundred soldiers, according to unnamed sources for TV2.

Denmark's defense force has not commented on the information.

Denmark is hosting an informal EU summit that begins on Wednesday.
