Denmark is buying 130 new armored vehicles from the Finnish company Patria.
The cost amounts to more than 2.8 billion kronor and the money is being taken from the newly created acceleration fund.
Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen (V) says in a press release that it can be seen as an example of well-functioning Nordic cooperation in the defense area.
"It is absolutely crucial in the current security policy situation", he says in the press release.
The acceleration fund was established by the Danish government earlier this year to speed up defense investments.
