Twelve people were arrested on Tuesday after drones disrupted air traffic at Copenhagen Airport. The police now say it involves climate demonstrators, reports Ekstra Bladet.
Six men and six women, aged 24 to 58, were arrested in connection with a climate demonstration north of the airport. They were released later on Tuesday.
"We are working on the theory that the activists used drones during the action. Several drones were seized in connection with this," writes Jens Jespersen at the Copenhagen police to the newspaper.
Air traffic was down for about ten minutes after the discovery of the drones. According to Jespersen, the police take the incident seriously.
