Demi Moore awarded at the Golden Globe: "Shocked"

Hollywood star Demi Moore took home the prize for her performance in "The Substance" at the Golden Globe gala on Sunday night. And heavily tipped "The Brutalist" and "Emilia Pérez" both withstood the pressure.

A visibly moved Moore, who has the lead role in "The substance", told about a meeting with a producer 30 years ago, who said to her that she was a "popcorn actress".

I'm just shocked right now. I've been doing this for so long, over 45 years, and this is the first time I've won something as an actress, said Moore from the stage.

The heaviest statuette, best drama film, went to the epic "The brutalist", whose lead actor Adrien Brody also received the award for best male actor in a drama film.

Another favorite, "Emilia Pérez", also had much to rejoice about. The musical crime comedy took home four statuettes, including best musical/comedy film.

A sadder experience was had by the Swedes, who came away with nothing. Director Magnus Horn's Danish "Flickan med nålen" was nominated in the category of best international film, but was beaten by "Emilia Pérez". The same fate befell Swedish-Iranian Ali Abbasi, whose Donald Trump portrayal "The apprentice" had a chance at two acting statuettes without winning any.

Neither did Lykke Li, who was nominated together with Miley Cyrus and Andrew Wyatt for the song "Beautiful that way" from the film "The last showgirl", take home her category.

On the TV side, Netflix success "Baby reindeer", partially directed by Josephine Bornebusch, took home two statuettes in the categories of best miniseries and best female supporting role.
