Over the past four months, new car registrations have fallen 2 percent compared with the same period last year.
Electric cars accounted for 41 percent of new registrations, while plug-in hybrids accounted for 24 percent.
"Currently, there are no clear effects of the war in the Middle East on total new car registrations," says Sofia Linder, chief economist at Mobility Sweden, in a comment.
Linder explains that it normally takes 3 - 6 months from purchase to registration.
"If the conflict is prolonged, total volumes are expected to decrease, while the proportion of electric and other energy-efficient models is expected to increase," Linder says.
