It was in the 18th minute that Dijan Vukojevic saw Robin Olsen standing far off his line and tried a shot from his own half. Olsen didn't have time to get back to his goal, and Vukojevic's shot sailed into the net, giving him his first goal of the season.

I've shot from halfway 15 times, at some point it has to go in. I know I have the ability to shoot 80 meters, I saw he was far out and I just had to run, says Vukojevic after what has already been called "the goal of the year."

Quick equaliser

Malmö's equaliser came right at the start of the second half, when new signing Diego Garcia reacted quickly to the rebound and scored his second goal of the season after 68 minutes.

But in the 70th minute, Vukojevic struck again and scored his second goal of the match, and of the season, when he got completely clear in the penalty area and was able to poke Samba Diatara's cross into the net.

Malmö's pressure yielded no results and the match ended 2-1 to Degerfors.

“A lot of joy”

The Värmland club thus took its first Allsvenskan victory since April 23, when the team beat AIK at home. Since then, Degerfors has gone 11 straight matches without a win, seven of them defeats.

It's a hell of a lot of joy and relief after such a long time without a win.

It gives us a boost, but then we just have to adjust, because we have to get a lot more points if we are going to secure our place, Vukojevic tells TV4.

The three points mean Degerfors leaves the relegation zone and moves up to 14th place. Malmö is seventh.
