Kick-off at Studenternas was moved up by 20 minutes when Degerfors did not arrive at the arena on time. When the bus broke down, the team had to wait for a replacement bus, which meant a new start time.
As the match got underway, the next blow came. Centre-back Ahmad Faqa scored an own goal in the second minute when he turned Zalán Vancsa's hard, low cross into his own net.
In the end, it was a 2-0 loss.
Degerfors is in the relegation play-off place in the table.
Sirius' three points mean the club tops the Allsvenskan with 48 points, seven ahead of nearest challengers Djurgården. The Stockholm team won 2-0 at home against Gais.
Hammarby is third on 40 points.
