The European defense industry as a whole is falling by as much as 2.8 percent, according to an index from the investment bank Goldman Sachs.
Defense group Saab is down 2.3 percent on Monday morning and German defense giant Rheinmetall is down 2.8 percent.
The decline comes after US President Donald Trump praised the progress he believes has been made in talks with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelenskyy on a possible peace deal.
