The Armed Forces are not allowed to shoot the unwelcome visitors who have settled on the regiment in Skövde.

The intruders, a group of badgers, have moved in under a house and since there is a risk that they will damage both the house and people, the Fortifications Agency has applied to be allowed to catch and kill them.

But the county administrative board rejects the application for a protection hunt, reports P4 Skaraborg.

This does not mean that the badgers can breathe a sigh of relief. In its response, the county administrative board writes that it is free to kill them when the general badger hunting season begins on 1 August.
