British rock band Deep Purple are postponing the rest of their European tour after singer Ian Gillan fell acutely ill a few days ago.
“I was hoping I would be cleared to finish the tour, but I would be taking very serious risks if I did,” the 81-year-old singer said on the band’s social media accounts, adding that he was sorry.
Deep Purple recently played in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
