Concerns about the labor market are contributing to lowering American consumers' confidence in the economic future.
Economic sentiment fell to 88.7 in November, down 6.8 points from the previous month. It was also significantly lower than the 93.2 that analysts had expected, CNBC reports.
The survey, by The Conference Board, describes the mood among American consumers, and the November reading is the lowest since April.
In particular, future expectations for the labor market and household income in 2026 decreased.
