Katja Nyberg was stopped in her car in the days that followed and was suspected of drunk driving; her driver's license was revoked. In connection with this, a bag was found that contained 1.18 grams of cocaine.

Nyberg left the Sweden Democrats shortly afterwards and is now one of the so-called savages in the Riksdag.

Now, Chief Prosecutor Anders Jakobsson at the Special Prosecution Chamber has decided to bring charges against Nyberg.

According to Jakobsson, the strongest evidence is analysis results from the National Forensic Center (NFC) and testimony from police officers at the scene.

Ecstasy and amphetamine

According to Jakobsson, blood tests have shown traces of drugs in the form of a metabolite produced after using cocaine. In addition to blood tests, a hair analysis has also been done.

"In the hair sample we took, we found cocaine, ecstasy and amphetamine," says Anders Jakobsson.

It has taken several months to make a decision on whether to press charges. According to Jakobsson, this is partly because the investigation had to wait for test results, and partly because the case has not been given top priority.

"There are other matters that are much more important than this," he says.

According to the indictment, Katja Nyberg drove a car again in March, despite having lost her driver's license. She is therefore also charged with aggravated unlawful driving.

Katja Nyberg admits to driving illegally but denies the other suspicions. In a text message to TT she writes:

"I have read the indictment. I do not share the prosecutor's assessment and look forward to the matter being tried in court."

Denies possession

Her lawyer Martin Orler assesses the chances of an acquittal as "realistic".

"There are some circumstances that weaken the prosecutor's evidence, I think, but I won't be able to comment on the details at this time; I want to wait until the trial," he says.

What do you think about the drug possession and the bag of cocaine?

"She denies any knowledge of that bag. It's not her bag. She doesn't know how it got in the bag."
