The number of people identified and confirmed dead in Venezuela's earthquakes on June 24 this year has risen to 5,069, National Assembly President Jorge Rodriguez writes on Telegram.
Most of the 16,740 registered injured have been discharged from hospitals, according to Rodriguez.
Every minute, the country was shaken by the most powerful earthquakes in a hundred years, with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5 respectively.
According to UN estimates, around 50,000 people are still missing in the rubble.
