As of Monday, a total of 2,344 cases of the disease had been confirmed in Congo-Kinshasa, of which 930 were fatal. The mortality rate is estimated at 39.4 percent.
The period between Friday and Saturday was one of the deadliest since the outbreak began in May - 37 deaths were reported.
