The death toll rises to 60 after the fire at a nightclub in Kocani in North Macedonia. A club manager has died at a hospital in Lithuania, announced the North Macedonian Health Minister Arben Taravari at a press conference.
The fire broke out on March 16 during a hip-hop concert at the Pulse club in the small community. The cause is believed to be pyrotechnics on stage. In the panic that broke out, many people were severely crushed at the exit.
Many of the injured have received care at hospitals in neighboring countries and around Europe. Three people are still being treated for critical injuries, according to the Health Minister.
Over 30 people are suspected of crimes after the fire, accused of violating various rules and laws for safety. The now deceased club manager was one of them.
