More than 13,000 people may have been killed during the protests against Iran's regime, according to HRANA.

Over 4,000 deaths have been confirmed by the U.S.-based HRANA, which bases its calculations on data from inside Iran. In addition, just over 9,000 deaths are reportedly under investigation.

Other organizations and media outlets are reporting higher death tolls. Over the weekend, the British newspaper The Times, which spoke to several doctors in Iran, reported that at least 16,500 protesters had been killed and well over 300,000 injured during the protests.

According to HRANA, 26,000 people have been arrested. Human rights organizations fear that many of them will be executed.

Iran remains isolated from the outside world by the regime's internet shutdown. The shutdown is worsening Iranians' already dire economic situation and stoking anger against the regime, the AP news agency reports.
