Jonathan the tortoise, believed to be 193 years old, is still going strong, albeit at a slower pace.

News of the tortoise's death spread quickly on April 1 on a fake X account that claimed to belong to a veterinarian who had worked with the tortoise. The post quickly received nearly two million views, mostly with condolences.
Jonathan is a giant tortoise from the Seychelles. He is believed to have been around 50 years old when he was brought to St Helena in the South Atlantic, which has been a British colony since 1659.
