Ukraine's allies must continue to pressure Russia to agree to a complete and unconditional ceasefire, Andy Burnham said at a press conference.
Several leaders were expected to present support packages, and the EU announced that the disbursement of just over 6 billion euros from a previously approved loan had been given the green light.
Money and robots
The leaders of France and Germany participated remotely, but Burnham, who was making his first trip abroad as prime minister, gave the green light for Ukraine to share certain military technology. This is so that Franco-British cruise missiles of the Scalp type (also called Storm Shadow) can eventually be built in Ukraine.
Burnham says Ukraine needs more help to protect its people and that the need will increase in the coming winter. He therefore pledges continued unwavering support for Ukraine.
What is still missing, however, are more deliveries of Patriot missiles. Zelenskyy says the country needs at least 300 missiles before winter.
Russian attacks
The ceremony came after another night of Russian attacks. In Kharkiv, at least three people were killed and eight injured, according to regional governor Oleh Synehubov on Telegram .
In recent weeks, Russia has significantly escalated its attacks. Kyiv, among other places, has been hit hard and the number of civilian deaths is now at the highest level since the start of the war of invasion, writes AFP.
It is clear that Russia has run out of options, so (Vladimir) Putin now hopes that he can win through a terror campaign with ballistic missiles against the civilian population of Ukraine, Andy Burnham comments on the attacks and says that he wants to see increased sanctions against Russia to "further strangle" oil and gas exports.
Russian authorities say three children were killed in Ukrainian drone strikes in Krasnodar on Monday. E-commerce giant Ozon says two of its logistics centers in southern Russia have caught fire.
