The films depict the French leader and his fight against the Nazi occupation of France during World War II.
The first part of “De Gaulle”, directed by Antonin Baudry, was shown at the Cannes Film Festival.
The story of de Gaulle strikes a chord with many patriotic people in France, not least because of the pride and love the French leader had for his country.
Over three million tickets have been sold since the beginning of June, making the films some of the most successful French films of the year.
