17 years after the romantic comedy “Summer with Göran” was released in cinemas, David Hellenius and Peter Magnusson are making a sequel. But it is clear that the years have passed. In “Autumn with Göran”, which premieres on Christmas Day, the main character Göran (Magnusson) is in a deep midlife crisis.
At the same time, he meets the US president, who is on a state visit to Sweden, and begins a romance.
Since Göran is now a naprapath, one thing leads to another, says Peter Magnusson, who also wrote the script.
Göran is divorced and lives week by week, waiting for a new love.
Göran longs for someone who is a powerful woman, who points with her whole hand. What's better than a president of the world's most powerful nation?
David Hellenius and Peter Magnusson do not want to reveal who will play the president yet. But part of the plot takes place in the United States.
