Djurgården had a tough ending to the spring season after the semifinal exit against Chelsea in the European Conference League in May. Only one win in the last five league matches before the summer break meant that the Stockholm team lost a lot of ground to the top teams in the Allsvenskan table.

On Monday evening, it was another lost point at home against IFK Norrköping after a 1-0 lead at halftime was lost to 1-1.

Dad in the stands

In stoppage time in the first half, Norwegian midfielder Tobias Gulliksen gave the home team the lead with a low long-range shot that David Andersson, son of Djurgården's sports manager Bosse in the stands, failed to save.

21-year-old Andersson then steered Theo Bergvall's volley in the beginning of the second half into the post and prevented a 2-0 goal.

Instead, "Peking" equalized through captain and top scorer Christoffer Nyman, who headed in 1-1 after just over an hour of play. The goal was "Totte's" seventh in eleven matches this season and a total of 105th in the Norrköping jersey.

In the end of the match, David Andersson made a couple of crucial saves that prevented further goals.

"Same match regardless"

Afterwards, Andersson was asked how much contact he had with his dad in connection with the match.

Silenzio stampa, said the goalkeeper jokingly to Max and referred to the Italian expression for media silence and continued:

When you're out on the pitch, it's the same match you play regardless of what. You don't think about who's on the other side. We just have to go out and take points and win matches. That's what's important. We didn't do that today, but we got a strong point on the road when we're not quite at the top.

Djurgården's and Norrköping's shared points meant that the teams are in eighth and ninth place in the table, respectively. Mjällby, who played 1-1 against reigning champions Malmö FF at the same time, leads the series ahead of Hammarby.
