Dane Emil Nielsen had a save percentage of 34.15% in the Champions League final in Cologne. He made a total of 14 saves.

Admittedly, Füchse Berlin, who lost the final last year against Magdeburg, came closer when Barcelona's defensive juggernaut Ludovic Fabregas was penalized midway through the second half for a nasty slap on Mathias Gidsel.

But Berlin never got closer than a two-goal deficit. With less than seven minutes left to play, Max Darj also received a red card and was sent off.

It was national teammate Jonathan Carlsbogård who got to celebrate the title - just like in 2024. The left back scored two goals as Barcelona won 37–34. The club has now won the Champions League 13 times.
