The celebration of the King's 80th birthday begins with a church service in the Royal Chapel in Stockholm and ends with a gala dinner.
The list of foreign guests of honor includes the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, and his wife, Suzanne Innes-Stubb. Royals from Denmark, Belgium, Thailand, and Spain will also attend.
The King and Queen, as well as Crown Prince Haakon, will be coming from Norway. Crown Princess Mette-Marit, who has faced scrutiny over past connections with sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and over her son Marius Borg Høiby's rape trial, has withdrawn, citing her chronic lung disease.
