Several shots were fired at a 37-year-old man at close range near Vesterport station early in the evening of October 19, 2023.

The then 18-year-old man arrived at the crime scene on an electric scooter, dressed as a food delivery worker. According to police, he was wearing an orange jacket and had a blue bag on his back, the type used by food delivery workers. The gun was also kept in it.

The man had arrived by train from Malmö on the day of the murder and was arrested a month later. During the trial, he confessed to the murder, according to TV2 and Ekstra Bladet.

The defendant's defense attorney said there was no evidence to suggest the murder was carefully planned, and the prosecution had requested a 16-year prison sentence.

Two Danish citizens who were charged with helping him have been acquitted.
