The newspaper Information has reviewed videos from Schytte's social media. She states in the videos that she is in Frederikssund, Denmark, but Information concludes that they were taken in an apartment in Malmö.
Schytte, who was elected for the Citizens' Party, is a controversial politician.
"I live in Denmark and am married to a Swedish man. I have in no way violated the constitution," she says, according to Danmarks Radio.
The Ministry of the Interior will investigate whether Schytte's residential address is in Denmark. According to the Danish constitution, this is a requirement for being elected.
The questions led to a one-hour postponement of a vote to approve the new parliament. When the vote was held, no one voted against approving the new parliament.
