"We have worked on the premise of finding a person with international experience, who can identify with much of what both our existing and upcoming stars are going through," says national team manager Emma Persson in a press release from the Swedish Table Tennis Association.
Maze, who replaces Marcus Sjöberg, will start his new position in October and will initially work alongside Sjöberg before taking over on November 1.
"It is a great honor to have the opportunity to work with some of the world's best players and at the same time become part of a strong Swedish table tennis culture," says the 44-year-old.
