Danish Flying Tiger taken over by British investor Modella Capital

Danish retail chain Flying Tiger Copenhagen is set to be acquired by UK investor Modella Capital. The purchase price has not been disclosed.

Before the deal, which is expected to be completed in the coming weeks, Flying Tiger had 1,100 stores in 44 countries, according to a press release from the company.

What Modella Capital is paying for the Danish chain has not been made public.

According to Jens Aarup Mikkelsen, CEO of Flying Tiger, the British investors bring important expertise.

I am therefore very much looking forward to the new collaboration, where we build on the creativity and energy that has made Flying Tiger Copenhagen something special in a competitive retail market for over 30 years. He says.
