The Danish defense force will release billions for upgrading by reprioritizing and saving.

Minister of Defence Troels Lund Poulsen (Venstre) refers to the security policy situation, which he believes makes it necessary to constantly consider where the money does the most good.

So far, 15 proposals have been put forward, for example to use conscripts to a greater extent to solve operational tasks, so that permanently employed personnel can be used for other tasks.

Until 2033, an amount corresponding to more than 21 billion Swedish kronor will be reallocated through this type of reprioritization.

"As we become more efficient, we can use the released funds for prioritized initiatives in the buildup of the defence", says the Minister of Defence in a press release.
