The Danish composer Per Nørgård has passed away, 92 years old, according to the family for Danmarks Radio.
Nørgård was regarded as one of the Nordic countries' greatest and most influential composers.
Among his most well-known works are the third symphony from 1976, which has been included in Denmark's cultural canon. Also, the operas "Gilgamesh", "The Divine Tivoli" and "Siddharta" belong to Nørgård's most mentioned works.
