A Danish citizen has been confirmed dead after the plane crash in Washington DC on Thursday night, Swedish time.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has knowledge that a Danish citizen was on board the ill-fated American Eagle plane. Relatives have been informed," writes the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
67 people died when a passenger plane and a military helicopter collided over the American capital.
Work is ongoing to recover remains from the wreckage in the Potomac River. The domestic plane took off in Kansas on Wednesday and was heading in for landing at the centrally located Ronald Reagan Airport when its path was crossed by the helicopter.
Over 40 bodies have been recovered from the river so far.
