The double warnings come after wolves were seen near people in both locations. In Skagen, a man out walking with a wolf pup encountered an older one baring its teeth in a forest.

There is not assessed to be any major danger to the public - people are nevertheless asked to stay away from the popular Bunken Klitplantage area.

The warning comes after another wolf was seen in a town north of Esbjerg in western Jutland. There, the wolf is said to have entered gardens and approached children playing on at least three occasions. The wolf was not aggressive, but did not leave the gardens when people tried to scare it away.

That wolf is now being hunted with both drones and hunters on the ground.
