Dennis Nørmark is a well-known anthropologist in his home country. “Harare” is his debut as a crime novelist and has already been praised as the best Danish crime novel of the year. The plot revolves around a young aid worker who finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation with ramifications for Zimbabwe’s security services.
The Glass Key is a prestigious literary prize awarded since 1992 to the best Nordic crime novel, in a collaboration between Nordic crime academies. The Swedish nominee this year was “Sot” by Sara Strömberg.
Previously, the Glass Key has gone to Christoffer Carlsson, Camilla Grebe and Leif GW Persson, among others.
