The murder of an ambulance nurse in Harmånger in Nordanstig municipality is also being noticed abroad. The Danish trade union for ambulance personnel is "appalled", the union writes in a press release.

The union wants, like the Swedish Ambulance Association, that "flagging" of addresses is introduced. With "flagging", ambulance nurses would get access to the crime and suspicion register.

The requirement for Danish authorities comes as the incident in Nordanstig "unfortunately could easily happen in Denmark".

In the press release, the mass shooting in the Fields shopping center in Copenhagen in 2022 is highlighted, where a man, who was sentenced to forensic psychiatric care, killed three people.

"If a similarly unstable person were to call an ambulance to their own home, we believe that such a system would save lives," the union writes.
