The Green Party is on 7.4 percent according to the exit poll. When the figures were presented, there was a deafening cheer at the election vigil. If it holds up, it will be a real result for the party.
But the survey is not an election result - and even though the red-green side appears to be gaining the upper hand, the party does not want to draw any conclusions in advance. Katrin Wissing, the party secretary in the MP, does not want to talk about what a red-green government might look like based solely on the polling-station survey
"We will negotiate when we have an election result," she says.
Gustav Fridolin, the party's former spokesman, hopes the numbers hold up, but emphasizes that the polling-station survey is not a result after all and that in recent weeks there has been a shift in the various polls for the party.
It is obviously difficult to make forecasts, he says.
