Just as before, he continues to be responsible for the entire organization's sporting strategies, MFF states in a press release.
Maxim Khalil will be the sports director for the women's team. The process to fill the position of sports director for the men's team continues. The sports directors will have overall responsibility for the sporting activities of their respective first teams.
Ola Toivonen, who is currently the assistant sports director on the men's side, has been offered a role in daily sporting operations.
"With this change, we are strengthening Malmö FF's competitiveness in both the short and long term. With a clearer division of responsibilities and governance in the sporting management, we are creating better conditions to meet increased demands, make accurate decisions and continue to be successful over time," says Niklas Söderström, acting CEO.
The gold favorite MFF had a tough season and finished no better than sixth in the men's Swedish league. Coach Henrik Rydström was fired at the end of September.
