The court that acquits the Brazilian believes that there is not sufficient evidence against Alves.

It was in February last year that the now 41-year-old former Barcelona player was sentenced to four years and six months in prison for raping a woman at a nightclub in Barcelona in December 2022, after the World Championship in Qatar.

Alves appealed the verdict and was released on bail after paying a bail amount of approximately 11 million kronor and having his passport confiscated.

The former right-back Dani Alves is one of the most decorated players in football history. During his career at, among others, Barcelona, Juventus, and Paris SG, he has won 43 titles. He has also played 124 international matches for Brazil.
