Sofia was a trained dancer at the Broadway Dance Center in New York, the Ballet Academy in Stockholm and the Stockholm School of Drama, and one of the founders of the dance company P*Fect.
She was also known under her drag king alter ego Qarl Qunt, and her performance "Slick" at the Riksteatern was nominated for the Swedish Theatre Critics' Dance Award.
"Sofia was a hell of an artist and a much-appreciated colleague and friend. Her cross-border artistry, with its roots in New York's club and street scene, was always in motion, innovative, curious and inclusive, and she challenged conventions and expectations with humour, criticism of power and a beating heart," writes Simon Norrthon, chairman of the Swedish Theatre Association for Stage and Film, on Facebook .
