In January 2025, the Dance Museum on Drottninggatan in Stockholm closed due to the economic crisis. It is now clear that the museum will get a new home “around 2029” in the million-dollar programme area Hagalund in Solna, north of Stockholm, the museum writes in a press release.
Until then, the museum will operate from temporary premises in Hagalund. It will also get a partial new direction, with a focus on becoming a cultural destination for families with children.
