The arena, located in Frisco, north of Dallas, Texas, is the home ground of FC Dallas in the North American professional league MLS. Herman Johansson, a Mjällby hero last fall, now plays for FC Dallas.
Sweden, Ukraine, Poland and Albania will compete in a playoff at the end of March for a place in the World Cup finals. Sweden will face Ukraine in the semi-final in Valencia on March 26 and will play a possible final five days later in Solna against the winner of Poland vs. Albania.
When Sweden reaches the World Cup, the third group-stage match will be played in Dallas on June 26.
Mansfield Stadium, southeast of Dallas, will be the home base for the winner of the playoff group with the Czech Republic, Denmark, North Macedonia and Ireland.
