"Timrå is home for me and it is an incredibly tough decision to leave after the season. At the same time, I have been open about wanting to test play abroad and when this opportunity arose, it was a chance I wanted to take," he says in a statement.
Jonathan Dahlén – son of former Tre Kronor player Ulf Dahlén – has chosen to activate a clause that makes the move possible.
"He has meant a lot to our club, to the team and to all the supporters. We are happy for him and wish him all the best when it is time to take the next step in his career," says Timrås sports director Kent Norberg.
According to Expressen, SCL Tigers will be the player's next club.
Dahlén has scored eight goals and ten assists in 18 games during the SHL season.
