The knife to the throat seems to suit Buffalo. They produced their best performance of the series in the sixth meeting with Montreal.
Buffalo's Swedish captain, Rasmus Dahlin, opened the scoring a little over half a minute into the game with a backhand behind Jakub Dobes in front of Montreal's net.
"We never give up. It's unreal to win this game, and now we have a chance to move on," Dahlin told Sportsnet after the game.
Dahlin finished with four goals as Buffalo completed the rout, 8–3.
"I live for this."
The seventh and decisive match will be played on Tuesday night.
