The Left Party is shaken by a criminal investigation into suspected election fraud in Borlänge.
The relatively unknown local politician Mohamed Abdukardir Ali received 648 personal votes and won Dalarna's only parliamentary seat for V.
He has taken time out, in consultation with the party, and says he is shocked by the reports of election fraud.
Now Dadgostar is breaking her silence about the investigation.

The important thing is that the investigation is allowed to work in peace and quiet to get to the bottom of what actually happened, so that people can feel secure that the ballot they put in the ballot box is also valid, she continues.
Can bring in replacements
V has agreed with Mohamed Abdukardir Ali that he will take a so-called “timeout” and not serve as a member of parliament during the beginning of the mandate period. There is no such formal term, but he can request time off or report absence.
V aims to bring in a replacement for him when parliament opens on Monday.
That's the idea. Out of respect for the investigation, he will not be on duty during that period so that we can also see what the investigation ends up with, says Dadgostar.
However, no application for leave had been received by the Riksdag's Chamber Office on Thursday morning.
The V leader does not answer whether the party has urged the newly elected member to resign from his parliamentary seat or whether it has offered him a job at the party's office.

The investigation concerns marked ballots in the parliamentary elections, according to information in several media outlets, and allegations that people drove voters from disadvantaged areas and provided them with ballots.

There are also said to be pictures of a person handing out both money and ballots to voters, according to Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter. This information has not been officially confirmed.
In masked documents from the Swedish Prosecution Authority, which SVT has seen, there are three suspects in the investigation. But no one has been served with a suspicion.
