Dadgostar opens the speech at Kistamässan outside Stockholm by saying that hard work is required to change the government.
We will knock on doors, talk to close and dear ones, colleagues and friends.
The Left Party leader then goes hard at the government and the Sweden Democrats, accusing them of having cut back on healthcare.
Together with Åkesson's genuine commitment to reducing the public sector, the Tidö government has managed to achieve the longest waiting times in healthcare ever, says Dadgostar.
Defending healthcare
V promises improved working conditions and salaries, more employees in healthcare and shorter waiting times.
We Left Party members will always defend Swedish healthcare. We are Sweden's healthcare party.
At a press conference after the opening speech, V also presented the report "The suburb in the future", the result of a project that has been going on since 2023.
Based on the survey conducted, 20 proposals are presented in different policy areas to "improve the situation in the politically neglected suburbs".
Smaller school classes
Ilyas Hassan, a member of the party's executive committee, has been responsible for the project and highlighted some of the policy areas where measures are proposed.
The first concerns an equal school.
Here, we want the student's needs to guide. Therefore, the classes in elementary school should be reduced to a maximum of 20 students. We also want to see to it that the market school is stopped, profit-taking should be prohibited and the free establishment right should be abolished, says Ilyas Hassan.
Other reforms concern housing policy, where one of the proposals involves introducing permits to rent out apartments. The report also proposes that government and municipal activities should be moved to neglected suburbs, and that local entrepreneurs should be able to receive, for example, subsidized rents to be able to conduct their business.
