Prosecutors have alleged that D4vd, whose real name is David Burke, killed 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez and dismembered her body in the garage after she threatened to expose their sexual relationship and ruin his career.
Judge Charlaine Olmedo sided with the prosecution and ruled that the evidence presented at the preliminary hearing was sufficient for trial, but ordered Burke to remain in custody without bail.
Burke denies the crime.
